We wanted to honour what nature had already perfected: the muse acorn for this pendant was collected from Eastern Helsinki and birthed into its castable form with the help of a skilled goldsmith.
In Nordic and Celtic cultures, the acorn has long symbolised immortality, fertility, and life.
An oak begins to produce acorns at around 20–30 years of age. The oldest in Finland are around 400 years, but some may live for over a thousand years.
